Your Ideal Pocket Monster Tales: Z-A Mega Evolution According to Your Astrological Sign
This return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked immense enthusiasm across the community. From the one-by-one reveal of newcomers ahead of the title's launch, to players forming firm views on the full roster of new Megas, there's a lot for fans to anticipate.
Given many of the Mega Evolutions showcasing unique appearances that highlight their personalities, one thought came to mind: How can link this with zodiac signs? This list is inspired by a blend of vibes, sign stereotypes, and personal experience.
Aries – Super Camerupt
To be truthful, Houndoom was nearly chosen for this fire sign, as both are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that inspire the most fear. But, a Mega Houndoom appears as always angry, which isn't typical of the Ram's energy, renowned for being playful, light-hearted, and impulsive. That's why the Ram much more similar to Mega Camerupt, which solely erupts when provoked. Remain on the good side of either and benefit from a powerful partner; if you cross them, be ready to get burned.
The Bull – Mega Heracross
Similar to a devoted Taurus, the reliable Heracross, whether in its regular and Mega form, has aided numerous players in Legends: Z-A. While dependable, each the Pokémon and a Bull are also battle-oriented, and – whether it's their companion or a firm belief – will stand up for their position to the end. The thing about Mega Heracross that reminds me most of my Bull-sign companions, though, is its unashamed passion for snacks. Several previous Pokédex entries mention their craving for tasty tree sap and how it employs its appendage to hoard it all, which is pure Taurus energy.
The Twins – Super Medicham
Look at this total royalty. It's impossible to tell me this creature is not the soul of any gathering, providing an endless fountain of gossip to anyone who wish to listen. Much like an enrapturing, gregarious Gemini, it's incredibly easy to envision Mega Medicham captivating an entire Wild Zone with their tales. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also states its capacity to predict an opponent's future actions, which sounds very like a socially-savvy Twins.
Cancer – Super Manectric
The Crab is widely considered as the most sensitive member of the zodiac, a passionate sign famous for often becoming absorbed in their emotions. Per the official info, Super Evolution charges the creature with a “tremendous amount of electricity, but it's too much for Manectric to fully control,” which seems a lot like a typical Cancer emotional outburst. It is also known for its capability to create a storm cloud over its very self – and if there’s a single trait a Cancer is likely to do, it’s spoil their good time.
The Lion – Super Starmie
Well, did you think I was planning to pick Pyroar for the king of the stars? Aside from the reality that it would be far too obvious, The Lion is clearly Super Starmie, the star whose legs just went viral for being extremely fabulous (or terrifying, based on your taste). Fans couldn’t look away from the violet sea star, and that’s exactly the identical energy a Leo offers to the scene. This Pokémon is also rumored to be transmitting signals from its center out into the cosmos, and it’s typical of a Lion to be putting on a show, albeit for aliens.
The Maiden – Mega Victreebel
The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Virgo is ideally represented in Super Victreebel, the Mega with constant digestive issues. The sign famous for being endearingly critical is strongly reflected throughout this creature's whole lineage, from a always shocked expression like a Maiden when you tell them you lack a 401(k), to its inverted face that’s similar to the symbol a Virgo sends to the chatroom when everyone says they want to “be spontaneous” rather than making a strategy.
The Scales – Mega Audino
Observe this sweet, sensitive being, who uses the sensors on its ears to tell how people are feeling by their heartbeat. Always empathetic – occasionally to a detriment – and striving to maintain the peace, there are numerous Scales who would likely benefit from Super Audino's skills. However, let’s be honest, it would probably just make them worry even more about others.
The Scorpion – Mega Banette
This Ghost-type is a Pokémon with a surprisingly sad origin: Discarded as a toy, it became sentient through sheer hatred and vowed retribution on its former owner. According to the Pokédex, Mega Evolution, “enhances its vindictiveness.” That sounds precisely like several discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpio friends. A Scorpion adores cosmic justice and retribution, making them the ideal pair with Super Banette.
Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha
Both Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are always putting on a performance. As a Sagittarius myself, the number of times I’ve called myself some version of a “playful small jester” is countless. The showiest and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its Pokédex entry even notes how it “flexes to show off its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had a Mega evolved form, making Super Hawlucha the most fitting Sagittarius counterpart I can imagine.
The Goat – Super Absol
Did you know that a Mega Absol has the power to predict disasters in advance? That gives the exact same vibe as a Capricorn, who often always believe they’re correct. The thing is, similar to a prophetic Mega Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the absolute initial Super Form that trainers encounter in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Goat to get in on the beginning of the Mega trend.
Aquarius – Super Chandelure
Detached element Aquarius is arguably the non-fire placement that is closest to a flame symbol – its counterpart is Leo, and there are countless memes about Sagittarius and Water Bearer being chaotic accomplices. Mega Chandelure’s dual Ghost/Fire typing fits seamlessly with this, and the Super Form's overall intimidating aura is also extremely Water Bearer. If you weren’t already convinced, the Super Form's description says it “absorbs hatred and converts it into strength.” If that fails to exactly {encaps
