Man Utd, coming off victories against Sunderland and Liverpool, are targeting three consecutive successes on the bounce in this match. They have momentum with Ruben Amorim in charge now more than ever!

Only problem is, the opposing team come from the south coast, who have won during three consecutive away games at Manchester United’s home, and six of the last seven fixtures in this rivalry.

Forget the momentum; for the Seagulls relatively easy. That said, the visitors are also as gloriously unpredictable as their hosts, so this game is both fascinating and potentially thrilling to watch.

Squad Updates

United decided on a couple of alterations after last week’s victory away to Liverpool. Šeško starts for Mason Mount, who drops to the bench, while last week’s win-securing hero Harry Maguire doesn’t feature entirely, Leny Yoro taking his place in defence.

Maguire picked up an injury in midweek sessions. Malacia makes the squad in a Premier League squad for the first time this season.

Brighton have made one alteration after their 2-1 home win over Newcastle. It’s ostensibly a defensive one, bringing in De Cuyper instead of Gómez, on the bench.

Welbeck, formerly of United to win the Premier League during the 2012-13 season, visits his old club on a hot streak of four goals in three games, an improvement on in his previous 15.

Build-Up

Amorim is unfazed regarding comments from Liverpool’s boss … but Danny Welbeck is highly concerned regarding the plans from the German coach.

Various reports suggest the fixture may influence for both teams’ seasons during the league unfolds.
