LA Explodes in Celebration as Dodgers Secure Second World Series Victory
Los Angeles experienced citywide festivities after the Los Angeles Dodgers clinched a nail-biting seven-match World Series title. Fans across the globe united with local residents in jubilation, marking the first time in 25 years that a franchise has secured back-to-back championships.
Victory Parade Attracts Enormous Turnout
Los Angeles area celebrations included a downtown parade on Monday morning, a ticketed rally at Dodger Stadium, and impromptu gatherings across the city.
Social media videos show thousands of Los Angeles residents packing city center avenues, many carrying handmade banners and team flags. The squad was seen riding high on a double-decker bus through the masses, hoisting the championship trophy high.
“I’m already thinking about the next championship we’re going to do this,” Shohei Ohtani stated through an interpreter.
The procession path ended at the stadium, where the players emerged to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with DJ Mustard spinning music and the artist cruising a Pacific blue classic car around the field.

Celebrations began prior to the parade, with supporters setting off flares in the roads of the city center on the previous evening.
Yoshinobu Yamamoto, awarded the MVP of the championship, commented plainly about the victory.

However, Mark Walter received a cooler reception at the celebration. Video footage from the gathering appear to show him walking onstage to a combination of applause and jeers, with jeers punctuating his speech.
