Passionate followers of the actress are demanding that a person who leaped a fence and grabbed the celebrity during Thursday's Wicked: For Good premiere be detained or removed from Singapore.

A widely shared video reveals the individual from Australia shoving aside media personnel and charging at Grande while the cast made its way down a promenade accompanied by onlookers.

Cast member Cynthia Erivo promptly guided the surprised performer away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being led away of the gathering by event staff.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "free after being taken in", though official papers revealed that he was scheduled to be present on Friday morning. It is unknown if he was charged.

Pattern of Event Invasions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Notorious Troublemaker", has crashed a performance. His Instagram account includes recordings of him disturbing other star-studded functions, including rushing the platform at the pop singer's Sydney concert in recently and in a like fashion during The Chainsmokers performance in the city last year.

"Measures must be taken applied against him as this is clearly a punishable act," wrote an Instagram user, in a message to a video Mr Wen posted of his actions.

"You've done this repeatedly... how are you not behind bars?" a different Instagram user questioned.

Fans Express Concern Over Ariana's Well-being

Several fans accused Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had revealed dealing with PTSD after a devastating incident at the conclusion of her 2017 show in Manchester, killing 22 people and wounding many.

"The star has endured numerous terrifying experiences... including the Manchester tragedy, and you believed breaching security was amusing?" said one more message on Instagram.

A number of attendees also faulted security officers at the premiere for not being sufficiently alert; while others demanded digital services to block Mr Wen's uploads.

Reaction and Premiere Information

In clips shared widely, Grande looked surprised when she was grabbed by the individual. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed comforting her while Mr Wen was led out by guards.

Grande has not issued a statement on the incident, and the rest of the event continued without further issues.

Hundreds of fans had congregated in a mass of colorful attire at the Wicked: For Good Asia-Pacific debut in a Singapore mall, including a number who had waited for as long as many hours before it began.

The film, to be premiered on the 21st of November, is the second of a two-part version of the acclaimed Broadway and West End musical Wicked, which focuses on the unlikely bond between two very different characters.

The musical itself is a derivative of the 1900 book The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who portrays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was dressed in a light pink sequin dress at the premiere while Erivo, who plays the villainous character, wore a elegant ensemble featuring roses.

They were alongside co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the most successful motion picture of last year in the UK, and earned ten award recognitions, securing two for excellent wardrobe and production design.
